This car was originally delivered to Georg Loos’s Gelo Racing Team for the 1976 racing season. It was one of just 31 Porsche 934 built to comply with the FIA Group 4 regulations for production-based race cars. The car left the factory painted Indian Red as were the colors of Georg Loos’s team.
After contending in the 1976 24 hours of Le Mans with Gelo Racing Team the car was sold to Swiss privateer racing driver Claude Haldi. Haldi would continue to race the car in the 1976, and 1977 World championship, as well as the European championship until he sold the car in 1978.
« Jamsal » the South Amerian Owner/Driver aquired the car in 1978 and had the car updated to the current Group 5 Twin Turbo 935 specifcatrion where he would compete in the North American “IMSA” series as well as notable South American events colminating in a victory at the 6 hours of El Salvador.
In 1981 the car was updated once more to the latest evolution of the 935 – The infamous K3/M13 bodywork. The car raced with « Jamsal » until the 1986 season. The car maintains its Kremer K3 specification to this very day where it remains competetive in premeier vintage racing series such as PeterAuto.
